Silk Road - Xinjiang Kaxgar I, the little Uyghur!

After the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Shanghai, Shanghai to Urumqi (with emergency landing in Xian) and Urumqi to Kaxgar, we finally arrived Kaxgar, 1st stop of our journey. It took us 2 days to get to the beginning!

As the flight flied through the Kunlun muntain ranges,
we arrived at the Kaxgar airport.
As we had traveled for so many hours, we could not wait but to quickly to go to the hostel we had wanted to go, in which was the former embassy for Russia.
I quickly took a shower and head for bed in the middle of the day.  Later, only realize that water is in scarcity here and we supposed to restrain from using too much.

A nap help it all. We could not help but to head out to the street right away after 2 short hours of sleep. And oh boyz, we found out how much we love the street. We realized we stayed near to a grocery store.
As we walked the street, the 1st thing it stroked us was the children.  They were always smiling and laughing, and never afraid to post in front of the camera. I love them, the giggle and the innocent showing the joy, even without much basic material. My 1st salute went out to them, the little Uyghur in Xinjiang.

And we should end with this big little Uyghur as he gave me a big pat on the shoulder just to mean Peace and make acquaintance with me :-).
